I am planning to take a trip this winter to Vegas for some sunshine and poker. Are there are any affordable casinos on the strip (i.e. not the Bellagio /images/graemlins/grin.gif) that have both decent LL poker rooms and at least one heated swimming pool?

Try calling the Monte Carlo poker room at 702-730-7780. They can give you cheaper rates. So can most poker rooms on the Strip.
