Canadians (from Alberta?)! Help needed

My wife and I will go to Banff in Jannuary to do some snowboarding (might even go heliboarding for 1 or 2 days ). Since I´ve never been in this area before we are curious whether there is any casino in driving distance of about 1 hr. We are only interested in poker though.

Hi Martin,

Calgary is the place you want. It might be your entry point to Canada if you're flying in to visit Banff. Have you been there before?? I love Banff anytime of the year, but the winter skiing is great - Lake Louise is my favorite.

I live in Edmonton(300k N of Calgary). Calgary is 100k E of Banff with the 4 lane divided Trans-Canada highway connecting them. I see that there are 6 casinos in Calgary with only 1, The Elbow River (called "the Elbow") offering poker. I've heard locally that it's the place to play.
