There is a copy on ebay for sale with a $25 reserve. Is it good enough to spend $25 on?

No! Wait it out. I picked up a used hardback copy for $10. It's good, but not that good.

This place called Bookman's in Mesa Arizona (or Tempe, I'm not sure). It was marked at $10, but now that I think about it, the cashier sold it to me for $8 because the price was sloppily marked. This is the book that got me interested in poker. I loaned my original copy to a bunch of friends and it got them all excited to play too. I also never saw it again. It is a good book to spur interest in poker and introduces some basics of Hold 'Em.
