Been just short of 2 weeks now and mine and 3 other innocent accounts are locked. That amounts to around $20k locked up. Here's their reason:

Hello,
Unfortunately, you were conversing and exchanging private addresses last
night with a person who is part of a major fraud investigation. It's very
likely that you didn't know anything about this beforehand but,
unfortunately, you and your account are now part of a far-reaching
investigation and I'm afraid your account will have to remain locked in the
meantime. Any help you can give us in this investigation will be
appreciated and will help to clear up your situation that much sooner. You've been a respected player at
Prima Poker for some time now and we are as anxious to clear this up as you
are.

So anyway, i phoned my casino they said it's been closed due to colluding with that player. Meanwhile i have never played a hand with that player and another player present, so that's impossible. The site seems to be emptying out pretty quickly at the moment.

Anyhow, i'm still waiting for them to fix this and it doesn't look like it will be any time soon. Any suggestions, comments, know what grounds i have?

Here's a list of the casinos that play under the network:

Grand Bay Poker
Piggs Peak Poker
Gaming Club Poker
Aztec Riches Poker
Virtual City Poker
32 Red Poker
River Belle Poker
Big Dollar Poker
Crazy Vegas Poker
Royal Vegas Poker
Captain Cook`s Poker
Colosseum Poker
Lucky Nugget Poker
Wild Jack Poker
Set2Go Poker
Golden Tiger Poker
Spin Palace Poker
BetonUSA Poker
Golden Riviera Poker
7 Sultans Poker

WOW.That is horrible.I'm sorry for you as long as your play was honest.
This is very bad PR for the Prima Network right now.
Very strange because it coincides with a huge marketing push by Prima Network.
They are running great large freerolls until the end of the month of September.
One of the great things about Prima is they have biggest NLHE available to US players on the Net.I dont play them but this is bad news for the guys that are risking big bucks in any of Prima's Rooms.

Stand firm...there is reason to hold for a week, even two, but the court of public opinion is the strongest judge in this instance.

If you authorize them to disclose anything so you can rebut it, and they have nothing to disclose, it would seem that they have very little reason to hold your money.

The tone of the letter sounded quite apologetic, I would like to lay odds that you will have your money released soon.

Asking or giving email addresses, or real names is a common occurrence, if you had no history with this person, and theere is no chat to indicate otherwise, you are very likely the victim of a situation that lawyers are in charge of ...and lawyers do nothing quite quickly...above all, do not give them any reason to keep your money...be firm, but polite. Ask them when you can expect to have money released, and whether others are being held, but let them know you will be happy to post a notice when they have returned your money if it is done in a timely manner.

A site I know was the victim of a lot of credit card fraud...chip dumping and multiple accounts with obvious fraudulent credit cards with mismatched addresses. It takes time to get the details sorted out, and the safest thing for the site to do is just sit on the money until it is resolved. I would expect more than just your money and an apology when it is over, as the emotional stress is great, and they have publicly announced thay you are a valued and longstanding customer, so they should be happy to do something to appease you, go for the gusto!

The network has always been good. Good games, small site, good support. Just seemed like they got trigger happy in closing a few accounts.

The problem now is actually hearing from them. I've had around 5 e-mails gone unreplied. I rang my casino and the risk management team and they said they'd contact Prima then contact me, 4 days ago. Still no word. The casino even admitted it takes Prima a while for them to response.

Right now i just want my account back on that site since my pockets are missing those soft games. Plus the new tournments.

Keep in mind the possibility that the games were soft because of credit card fraud, and that they may be very different without it.

Where do you suppose the received all of the money to fund these freerolls?

well prima poker pretty much a rich company, giving the fact each skin owner has 1 or more online casino's that have been running for years! So I think they pretty much can afford to give away $10,000 or more a day if they wish.

So the online casinos fund the poker room pretty much.

Not quite the same as having your account totally blocked, but similar,I was angrily shocked and disapointed when I signed up at one of the other skin sites to find that they were also insisting on driver's license information and who knows what else to make a cashout even though I was thrilled with the site itself for soft games that go 24/7.

I spoke with customer service and got a supervisor who assured me that everyone always provides this information in order to cashout. Well, I asked to speak to the supervisor's supervisor and got nowhere fast, but I am rather persistent when $5-800 is at stake.

I calmly explained that the fine print that said they "could" request information that was buried in number 9 of a laundry list of things that no one ever reads was not sufficient notice for something as important as the fact that they were glad to accept your money but didn't really have any great hurry to give it back when you wanted to cash out.

However, the latest news is wonderful! After an email that essentially chastised them for non disclosure, I expected a guarded response, but what I got was truly refreshing...I was talking with a Poker Player who understood the hesitancy to divulge private information and was well informed on the situations where credit card fraud and check fraud was totally different from returning money to the same neteller account it was taken from, and will not require giving your personal information to the gaming site!

What a relief! I can go back and play at the (non prima) site and still get withdrawals, perhaps not right away...things do take time Jay /images/graemlins/wink.gif . But within a couple weeks I was assured they are going to have withdrawals and deposits as hassle free as any on the net...And the rules will be clearly posted.

The final word seems to be that pokerplayers make some of the decisions, and actually listen to concerns of players and make changes.
