Rules????

I've read a couple of the posts regarding a faux pas at the poker table and I was just wondering.... Is there anything definitive regarding situations which may come up at the table.... inadvertantly showing cards, misdeals, wrong hand winning (misreading kicker when the pot should be split) etc.??? Or... are these situations handled at the descretion of the casino or local custom? Just wondering.

The most important rule to remember is the the floor is to always rule in the interest of fairness (even when that requiers the floor to violate the letter of the rule).
