It seems to me, that the turn raise used to mean a very strong hand waiting for the expensive street to pull the trigger. So you could easily fold your TPTK type hand to it. As I realized that more players were figuring out to dump then it became one of the best 'secret weapons in my arsenal.

Now I see many players waiting for the turn to raise with many hands, such as top pair, weak kicker. Now these are not "pick up a draw" type raises, or "free showdown" raises, just raises.

What has changed? Is this a sign of players becoming more sophisticated? Or perhaps is this the new WPT breed of players vastly overrating their medium strength hands?

Anyone else noticing this?
