I spent 2 wks in 88 fighting fire in the park. Last few yrs I've toured the park to witness the regrowth. It should be mandatory for politicians to visit the park and study the research that has been conducted, especially western governors and senators.

the governors cant see the forest thru the trees. the trees to them are money that can be harvested. the people that do not have a financial gain see them as places for animals to live and places to be left alone. nature manages for its own benefit and so does man. who do you think does the best job.

Hoping to go to Tetons and Yellowstone later this month.
I know Ray mentioned fires up in Montana a while ago.
Are things getting any better?

fires will be non existent by that time. late sept. can be very cold in the mornings so dress well. this is the best time of the year to go. the elk are bugling and the trout are hungry.

Thanks Ray,
This will be my first visit back there in a long time.
My Dad took us there several times way back when. I will bring the warm socks, sweaters and the poles.
