I'm looking for a good poker book which talks about hand odds, I.e. you have a pair and get a set on the flop -- the odds of getting a full house are... You have two suited cards, two of your suit hits on the flop. The odds of getting your flush on the turn are ____, on the river are ____.

Also, heads-up play and short handed play are a little different than regular play. Which good books cover this as well?

Mike Petriv's Hold'em's Odd(s) Book is great for all the odds questions regarding hold 'em. I think even Mason liked this book. As a project, I may try to get PalPacBuzz to write an O8 version.

Short handed HE has a good introduction in S&M's latest version of Hold 'em Poker for Advanced Players . Abdul Jalib used to have an excellent web site devoted to this subject, but I don't know if it is still up. There were some problems when Deja cratered.

P.S. The new spell checker is nice .

Yes I liked the Petriv book and it should answer all your odds questions.
