Give us an idea of what you've done so far. Books read? Sites played? Limits/Hours logged? yadda, yadda, yadda

1) Read the small stakes forum and watch not only how others play certain hands, but how other forum goers would play them.

2) Read Winning Low Limit Holdem by Lee Jones.

3) Read the small stakes forum again, and use the knowledge you've gained from the book to better understand why winning players play the way they do.

4) Take your newfound knowledge and apply it to game situations.

5) Invest in some tracking software. By the time you have a reasonable sample size, you'll be able to interpret the data. It will show you how much of a winner/loser you are with certain hands and certain positions.

6) Never stop reading, learning, and adjusting your game. Invest in Theory of Poker and Holdem Poker for Advanced Players, to start. Welcome to the boards!

In addition to the strategy stuff already mentioned, do some bonus hunting. You can build your bankroll largely off the $100 bonuses many sites are offering.

If you are mainly playing tourneys, check out the tournaments tab here. You might find it more steady playing ring games until you get a feel for tourneys, they are a good $ potential I have heard, but it plays different than live play.

One easy thing you can do is quit playing 5/1 tourneys on Party. Play 5/.50 tourneys on Poker Stars instead. That's a 50% reduction in the house take and adds up to a LOT over time. Anyone who says "it's just .50 cents" has a poor understanding of the game.

Also, Stars tournaments move at a slower pace, allowing for more skilled play. Party is a crapshoot with the blinds going up so fast. I don't even think a pro would have much of an overlay playing 5/1's at Party.
