A great non-poker book that will teach strategy is the Art of War by Sun Tzu.

The book is less than 100 pages, however it is an excellent book that deals with warfare and how to wage war. A must read for anyone looking to learn about strategy.

Because of the (over)emphasis on deception, The Art of War is great if you intend to be an aggressor (Super/System style) in psychological games like no-limit, pot-limit, and high ante/shorthanded limit. But if you carry the ideas too far in limit ring games, it could cause "fancy play syndrome" and overly loose play. Overall, I recommend it. Other great strategy books include Strategy by Liddell Hart, the Book of Five Rings by Miyamoto Musashi, and The Tao of Jeet Kune Do by Bruce Lee.
