View Full Version : Mason's recommended list

Mason has mentioned that he considers reviews of 8 or better must reading for a serious poker player. Does anyone have the list of books which would fall into this category (I am mostly interested in holdem). I'll consider Theory of Poker and Advanced Hold'em by S&M givens.

Thanks

There is no list I know of but in Mason's Gambling Theory book there are short reviews of many poker books, some of which are pretty funny IMO.

Mason's book reviews in Gambling Theory and Other Topics are very good. The problem is, some new books aren't reviewed there because either they haven't been published yet at the time or is only available as an eBook. This is unfortunate but if you go to RGP you will find references to this superior holdem and general theory book that has a more comprehensive player classification scheme and a more comprehensive view of poker theories(plural).
