SHows I folded after my opponent checked on the river. I can assure you I didn't do anything that stupid. I actually was going to hit the bet button but before I did the hand went away and said I had folded. Also, I didn't time out or anything and even if I did it would have put me all-in and not folded me.

Do you think Party will do anything about this?

You can bring it up the the Floorperson, but be prepared to speak slowly and use only monosyllabic words. If they find something went wrong in their system they'll credit your account (they've done that to me before), but it might be more hassle than the five bucks is worth to get them to do it.

I believe you...I have also had this happened to me on Party maybe two or three times. Although over hundreds of hours.

the exact same thing happened to me.
i complained and party answered that i had autochecked the fold box.

and here comes the creepy thing:

they even attached a detailed hand history where they had highlighted the code of my action to autofold in blue.

i did not think more about it (and stupidly enough i deleted their mail), but a week or so ago i saw that you can check the "detailed hand history" yourself. i still had the hand i pt so i looked it up and ordered a new handhistory.

in the detailed handhistory i <font color="red"> did not autofold
</font> it just said that i folded and the "code" was not there.

i have complained to party two or three times in the last four months. they have yet to understand any of my questions and so far i have not been compensated for their mistakes.

i am reluctant to take this any further as i don´t want to be tagged as a complainer at party. after all, they do have a substantial amount of my money.

it would be nice if you could keep us updated on how they respond to your complaint. don´t forget to check out the detailed hand history.

ok, here is the detailed hand history. I'm not sure exactly how to read it so I would appreciate any help.

As far as checking the autofold button, there is no autofold button until someone in front of you bets or checks. SO when my opponent checked a fold button did appear. But if I clicked on the fold button it would have asked me to verify the fold since checking is free. It didn't

thats what I think.

I just got done with an experiment to re-create the same thing that happened. I played 1 hand and deliberately checked fold after it was checked to me. A box popped up asking for sure if I wanted to fold as checking is free. Look at the history below and you will see clearly where it shows me the check, fold, bet buttons. Its definately a bug. Wonder if they will actually do anything though.

On a side not, as I probably won this hand would it be fair to ask for the money I would have won if I did check? ($13.50 vs $5.00)?

I have received 2 emails from PP on this and they both insist that I checked the advanced fold button. I have explained to them there was no buttons at all and even if there were they don't show up until the first player did something. After he checked, my buttons would have shown up as check, bet, fold. If for some crazy reason I hit fold it would have asked for confirmation sice checking was free.

I am now on the phone with them to see if I can get anything done.

There are always advanced action buttons. they are Fold, Check/Fold, Check, Call any, Bet $x, Bet/Raise.

They're referring to the

[] Fold

advance action button. If you were doing anything with the mouse in any other application, and the Party client automatically popped into the foreground, it is possible that the client picked up your mouse click and if it happened to be in the vicinity of the advance action button, it would have selected the checkbox and auto-folded you without asking for confirmation.

Yes you are right but the advanced action buttons only appear after the first player acts. They would not have appeared to me until the other player had checked as he was first to act.

No buttons appeared at all, it just folded the hand. I clicked nothing. In looking at the advanced hand history it shows that no buttons were ever shown to me, it just folded.

I am awaiting a response from top level tech support on this now.

Update,
After 3 email and 1 phone call, PP continues to insist that I clicked the autofold button even though that was impossible to do in the circumstances.

I have sent 1 last email trying to explain they are wrong but don't expect any results.

If I don't get any results I've decided its time to move my money to another site. Anyone have any suggestions on the best other site to try?
