Poker Stars: .50/$1 Normal table for the limit. 9 players
I am in MP with 7d-7h.

Pre-flop: UTG, LEP, EMP, myself, C/O, SB call and BB checks. 7SB

Flop: Qs-6h-8s All check to me. "With just C/O left behind me I decide to bet out." If it had been bet earlier I would have folded. C/O Calls as does SB & EMP. 11 SB

Turn: [Qs-6h-8s-](Qc) Checked to me. "I don't think the Q is out there, so only an overpair to the 7's is ahead at this point." I bet. All fold.

Was this a good play? Or was I just lucky this time?

Excellent play. You represented top pair on the flop. When it paired on the turn you had a great chance to take it down.

Well played, would not be at all surprised if someone holding an 8 folded this turn and even if they didn't it means you can't be outdrawn by people holding overcards to your 7.

Good play.Question to you rayrns, what is your play if you are raised or check raised on the turn?

The Q on the turn is actually a great card for you. If someone already had one (unlikely since nobody bet on the flop) then you're already dead, so one more on the board doesn't make any difference. And since you bet the flop it sure looks like you have one, so chances are pretty good that everyone will fold in the face of your obvious set of Qs. I like the way you played this.
