PartyPoker Million semifinals are this weekend. Good luck to all playing. Some questions:

What is the blind structure like?

How long do they take?

How many players?

Do almost all start with 3000?

Any general advice?

The semifinals have actually been split in two with half of the players starting 30 minutes later. You should have gotten an email.

What is the blind structure like?

How long do they take?

Don't recall exactly but a very long time.

Do almost all start with 3000?

Suprisingly in the last semifinals only about half of the players had the full 3000.

Any general advice?

Play tight early. Don't get involved unless you are a clear favorite. But, don't wait until the blinds are killing you before you make your move.

Is it limit or no limit?

Thanks for info. I didn't choose which time slot to use my entry in, so I guess that's why I didn't get an email. I was wondering if it goes so long that if I play on Sunday, would it finish before I start work early Monday morning? (I.e. could it possibly go for, say, 15 hours?)

I was assuming it is no-limit. Now you said limit, I've been looking for an answer, but I haven't found it yet.

Where on PartyPoker website is the answer? Limit or No-Limit?

(Note: don't confuse `semi-finals' with `super-satellites'. The latter are limit and are another way of getting cruise.)

The Party Poker Million itself, and all of it's semis, are limit.

No. More like 6 but with the split format I'm not sure. Good luck.

in the limit tourney I have been in, I have seeen them go further than 8, with the last table being the longetst, mainly because the blinds stop increasing.

Any general advice?

If you win you get to bring a guest on the ship with you. I'm available.
