View Full Version : what about reviewing older books?

To show you how slow I am I just realized there was this new forum for book reviews! It has been a long time coming. I do not get to play as often as I like but I am constantly reading and rereading most of the good poker books and am always looking for new ones. As Mason correctly points out, a book that has some good info frequently has enough bad info as to hurt your game overall, especially if you do not play enough to recognize when the book is wrong. For someone like me who loves to read the books even without playing that often, this forum should be valuable.

the one suggestion that I have is that older books should be reviewed as well as new ones since many players may have or want to buy some older books but need to know whether they are good or not. I have read some real stinkers, and I am sure others have as well.
