I just wanted to share this hand. Not only becuase I won, but I got a feeling that 'It's gonna be all right'
20-40 game, 10 handed, a friend i havent seen in a while is in BB. The game is fairly tight and not much action. I am UTG. I am also a fairly tight player. This friend of mine says why I don't put a live straddle to liven it up. Its a friendly game. I say what the hell-why not? I have Qc3c.
Everyone folds to button who raises, SB reraises. BB calls. I call w/o looking at my cards.
Flop - Q + 2 clubs.
Everyone checks to me I bet they all call.
Turn another club
Everyone checks I bet, SB,BB call
River - different suit - Makes a 4 card straight on the board. SB bets, BB calls, I raise, both call. My hand is good.
My friend(BB) says he needs to get some rebate b/c without his urging i wouldn't have played that hand.
I toss him a few chips.
The whole sequence just made me feel good.
