Is there anything I can do to limit the number of bunk hand histories PT gets from my email client?

What do you mean by bunk? PT automatically eliminates duplicates.

If you have some hand histories that Poker Taracker is having problems hanlding, EMial them to Pat. He will pobably have a patch out to fix the problme in fairly short order.

It sounds like you are running an older version of PT, version 1.5x before the patch I put in to fix a change to they made to the format. You should upgrade to V2, all of these issues have been fixed.
