Play Ball!

MLB strike averted. I haven't read the terms of the agreement. Wondering if it will really effect the competitive balance of the league. Kudos to the players and management for getting it done and congrats to MLB fans. I'm only mildly interested in MLB at this point in time so it isn't that big of a deal to me but I'm happy for those highly interested in MLB.

The full details of the deal aren't available yet. However, the initial reports indicate that the players' union gave up far more than they ever have before and didn't get much in return.


The deal doesn't sound like it will make the league more competitive. It sounds like another stop-gap measure.

I guess the players realized that they get thier money from the owners.
