Here in the midwest, we're losing cardrooms faster than I can count. First my beloved soaring eagle goes, then Blue Chip is gone. I hate driving to Detroit. So I recently decided to visit the Little River Casino in Manistee.

Small room, 6 tables. Big lists, probably due to the holiday weekend. I sat at a low limit stud game waiting forever for a holdem seat.

Finally I get called for 4-8. Play there for a while, finally floor asks me if I want the "redchip game". Yes, the redchip game, where the real sharks lie in wait, playing 5-10.

Yes, this casino runs a 4-8 and a 5-10. Brilliant.

Both Soaring Eagle and Blue Chip closed their cardrooms? When?

Soaring Eagle closed approximately 8 months ago. Blue chip closed their room 2-3 months ago, right after they finally got some 15-30 games running.

Foxwoods in CT also has both 4-8 and 5-10.

foxwoods 5-10 is a kill game though... so that makes it a little diffrent.

Are all the 5-10 kill games? Last time I went they had 4 tables, 2 kill, 2 non but not sure if they abandoned this.
