New Gertz Book Looking Interesting

Gertz at it some more and now the Bush Administration is mad. I don't like the Administration response. Perhaps the book will expose stuff that should be kept secret, but I don't see a reason to conceal incompetence in areas where the enemy already knows we don't do anything. Might have to buy a copy.

This is the administration's response to EVERYTHING. Why must everyone who criticizes our government be reprimanded for showing a lack of patriotism?


It's a disgusting and cheap way of keeping all criticism at bay. I'm not quite sure why people in the US equate disapproval over the US's handling of foreign intelligence and affairs with lack of patriotism.

I agree with you. A vast difference exists between legitimate dissent, and radicals proposing violence while publishing racial propaganda.


Honest dissent and hard questions are vital to Democracy.
