Ohmaha/8 Tournament last night

Last night I get to the final table, the pay the top 5, there are 8 of us left.

The blinds are moving up and I am about the 3rd shortest stack. I feel I got to make a move if I want to stay in long enough to see the top 5

Im on the button and I get delt JcJs8s7d.

Its folded all the way to me and I decide to raise.

BB calls

Im not much of an O/8 player, but was this the wrong time to make a move at the blinds?

Without stack sizes and blind sizes hard to say.

I am guessing that JJ87 is barely 50/50 on any hands that will call. So the decision needs to be made based on the SB/BB and how often will 1 or more call.
