Harrah's East Chicago is the biggest room with 25 tables.

Hollywood in Aurora has five tables, but closes at 8 pm on Friday and is closed week-ends.

when do you play, and what limits? will you be at Harrah's on Friday? if you promise that you will be, i will come down there personally and meet you, just for the experience. (plus ill play some cards)

Sorry, I have been boycotting Harrah's for a long time now. I won't step foot on that boat until I get an apology from their floorman Mike for not booting Dasher when he called me a very nasty name after I scooped up about 600 bucks of his money. He really did feel pocket kings were good against pocket aces AND I flopped a set. duh.

Ray, Here is the Chicago info to the best of my knowledge.

Hollywood, Casino Aurora Il. 30 miles west of Chicago

* Non-smoking 6 table room with 5-10 and 10-20 he spread daily.

* Mondays - 15-30 Stud 8 feature game

* Tuesdays a 15-30 Stud 8 and Omaha 8 split feature game

* Thursdays 20-40 Holdem feature game kicks off at 7pm

* Room closes at 6:00pm on friday and opens Monday at 8:30am

* Call 630-801-7471 to get on the list for feature games of for more info. Room Manager is Bob Spicklemeier - otherwise Paula will be answering phone during the day and Lisa, Mike or Eric at nights. Tell any of them Michael D said to call - hey being the biggest fish in the room has its perks /images/smile.gif

Harrahs - East Chicago Indiana - not sure how far south of Chicago but drive will range anywhere from 20 minutes to 2 hours based on traffic

* 15-20 table room - non-smoking

* Recently just went open boarding for the boats so now you do not have to time your arrival to be able to get on the boat.

* Spread 10-20, 20-40 Holdem daily.

* They also were geting off a 50-100 hose game pretty regularly for a while as well as a 30-60 Stud 8 game I believe. Since this is 90+ minutes drive for me, I only play here occasionally and almost always holdem so I am not up to speed on the days and games they spread other than holdem. They are good about spreading games on request if a table is available and players are interested. I was there a week ago Sunday and told the floor I was interested in a 40-80 or 60-120 game and Dominic did an excellent job and worked his tail off to get the game going. He went out of his way as there were a number of players who were willing to play the 40-80 limit but not all wanted to play holdem, or stud, etc. He eventually got a 40-80 holdem game off.

I do not have the Harrahs number offhand but maybe someone else can post it.

When are you thinking of coming in town? By the way, SPM does exist but sightings at Hollywood have been rare lately although I heard a rumor he was in last week 1 day. Unfortunately Desire sightings are even rarer these days!!!! Fairbanks offer still stands Desire!!!!

Ok Ray - hope this info helps - if you have any further questions feel free to email me at MichaelD8@aol.com

Just some thoughts...

A lynch mob?

so have you been playing at hollywood? playing privately? not playing? i'd love to meet you. i probably won't be able to make it to a cardroom in the next couple weeks. but if i promise next paycheck (barring any other unforeseen tragdies) i'll make it to hollywood AND write you a poker poem, will you come out? maybe i sound desperate - i'm not. i'd just like to meet you, and it sounds like that is harder to do these days, at least in a poker room.

by the way, sorry that Harrah's won't apologize. no player deserves to be treated with disrespect, and it is management's job to see that this doesn't happen. i support your effort in spirit (while i will still go to Harrah's. i think the games are much softer there).
