I'm looking into buying one of those Desert Palace dice chip sets (11.5 g). For those of you who have them, how is the aluminum case vs. the oak case? The oak case looks a bit nicer in the pictures and has pull out chip racks I believe. Does the aluminum case have these?

Get the oak case, for the pull outs, the Aluminum doesnt' have them.. Check out my post on 'Hosting a Home Game' right here in this forum. I snagged a great deal.

Make sure the chips are clay and not the clay composity with the metal weight in the center. I have a dice set from the pokerchipcompany and they are great 11.5 g clay!

Those dice / suited etc chips aren't really clay, they are clay filled, they are nice but not really the real thing

i have the suited chips. they are just like the dice only they have suits around them opposed to dice. one fell under the table one night, and the next week we found it and the dog had got to it. guess what.. they have a big metal disc in the middle. doesnt bother me any, but just thought you might be interested.
