I was watching the WPT yesterday (Binions WPO) and a really strange hand came up. A player (can't remember who) called an bet for all his chips, over 100000, with K5 when the flop gave him nothing. The other player had 99 and took him out.

It was a really bizare call - the only hand he could beat was a total bluff. And the blinds weren't even that high at the time.

What happened here?

I think that was the worst play of the entire WPT season.

Weren't there two diamonds on the board...maybe he misread them for two hearts?

Otherwise, yeah, one of the worst plays I've ever seen in any PL/NL game, on TV or my garage.

That same guy threw away QJs and AJo with a very small raise behind him. He's a rock who I think got scared and got "too solid", then lost his common sense on that K 5 hand.

He called allin preflop. Moronic call.
