So Tommy folds for one chip in the small blind all the time.

HPFAP says never do it unless BB=maniac.

So I never do it unless BB=maniac.

But Tommy is a much more skilled post flop player.

So it would make more since if I folded allot in the small blind and he always called, but that's not the way it is.

I choose the sklansky model cause you get to see more flops, and well, who the hell doesn't like to see flops.

or turns.
or rivers.

In that game, it's worth folding occassionally just to confuse your opponents.

Or better yet, first change seats and get a predictable tighty on your left, and then fold the small blind anyway. :-)

(Not that it matters but the main two reasons I fold the small blind for one chip so often is one to inexpensively remind my opponents that I'm goofy and two to have a little pause before the button and cutoff.)
