Here's a copy of an email I just received from Party. Dawn may actually be breaking on yonder marble heads. (I mean, this guy speaks english and everything!) Key paragraph highlighted by hearts...

Dear Michael,

Thank you for contacting PartyPoker Customer Care.

Firstly, thank you very much for reporting this to us and please accept our apologies for the delay in response.

With reference to your e-mail, please note that we have researched the All-In History for the player "PonymanMG" as well as the game logs and see that he has used quite a number of All-Ins in the first week of August and he has a history of inconsistent connectivity.

We have e-mailed the player and warned him about the consequences of such frequent All-In usage without attempting to rectify his connection problems.

/images/graemlins/heart.gif /images/graemlins/heart.gifAs you have rightly mentioned in your mail, please note that we already have plans to eliminate the All-In protection in Tournaments for good. The All-In protection was provided to benefit players with genuine disconnection problems, but of late it has become a tool to increase profits at tables, which is very unethical. /images/graemlins/heart.gif /images/graemlins/heart.gif

We 100 percent agree with you that players should take up responsibility for any disconnection from their end, as we at PartyPoker.com do have a comprehensive Refund Policy in case of any technical difficulty from our end.

We thank you once again for your patience and cooperation and it is feedback from players like you which pushes us to make this poker cardroom called PartyPoker.com the best in the world.

If you have any further questions, comments or concerns, please contact us at alerts@PartyPoker.com and we will be more than glad to assist you.

Best regards,

Andrew Hill,
Investigations Team
