Anyone know what's the angle here? I have noticed that empire and party are almost identical in look and feel...THEN I noticed that there are party poker players playing under the same names at multible tables at both party and empire at the SAME TIME!!. Why? How are party and empire related if at all?

They are the same site (i.e. sharing the same tables and players) Just different skins.

Wait...what??
maybe i'm a little thinck in the head
but i'm more confused now than before...can you elaborate on that a bit?
How can they be the same sites?
Clearly you still choose which one you're going to play on...
don't you?

Multiple front ends to the same backend games is pretty common today. PartyPoker and EmpirePoker is one example. Some of others links on these I found at PokerPulse include
http://www.tribecatables.com/TribecaWeb/currentSkins.htm
which lists the 20+ rooms deliverying traffic into GoldenPalace and Victor Chandler.

Also, PrimaPoker has multiple front-ends as does CryptoLogic

I noticed that there are party poker players playing under the same names at multible tables at both party and empire at the SAME TIME!!.

Think about it like this: Everyone that goes into the front door of a casino gets a red shirt. Everyone that goes in from the side door gets a blue shirt. You can choose which door and which shirt you want to wear, but you can't go in each door simultaneously. You also can't sit at a table and place your red shirt in one chair and your blue shirt in another. It's either/or. Does this make any sense?

It is perfectly legit to have accounts at both sites. You can't have the same name at each, you must use a different screen name. Also, you are not allowed to play at the same table with both accounts(they have software that prevents this). So there are no security concerns associated with this. You can get the new refer a friend bonus at Empire(which I will give the full $50 back if you use me to refer you) and they have differnt monthly bonuses as well.

Multi tables: They have different multi table games, and I think you may be wrong about seeing the same names on both Empire and Party in this area. If you want to take a screenshot and prove me wrong, I'd love to see it. They do have the same single table tourneys, but there is no security risk there either. I hope in my rambling that I answered your question.

Does that mean that you can get a new bonus account at Empire and play with the same people you have been playing with all along at Party? If the answer is yes, I can't think of a reason NOT to do this.

That's exactly what it means.

If the answer is yes, I can't think of a reason NOT to do this.

Me either. The majority of the posters on this forum have already done this.

Yes, you can. It's easy, it's fun and they pay you money. Can't beat that. /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

This site has become a shill for Party, Empire. BORING! Same questions, same answers. Let's hear about some new place for a change. Flame away.

That was a fantastic explanation. Perfectly understood. I would use you as a referal but I am already enrolled in Empire. Can I do it after the fact?
Thank you for your carefully worded explantion. Kudos!

Well if a thread has Party in the title you'd have to a pretty dim bulb* to be upset that it contains information about Party.
