$4-$8 at the Hideaway, pretty loose passive, eight handed. UTG limps, I have A /images/graemlins/club.gif7 /images/graemlins/club.gif UTG+1 and limp, fairly solid shortstacked player (Shorty) in middle position calls, both blinds call.

Flop is 9 /images/graemlins/club.gif7 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif5 /images/graemlins/spade.gif. Checked to me and I bet, Shorty calls and BB calls.

Turn is A /images/graemlins/diamond.gif(9 /images/graemlins/club.gif7 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif5 /images/graemlins/spade.gif). BB checks, I bet and Shorty raises. BB folds and Shorty only has enough chips for two more big bets in front of him.

What's my action on the turn and what's my plan for the river?

What's my action on the turn...

Try to get him all in.

...and what's my plan for the river?

Nervously anticipate the results as you wait for him to turn over his cards.

I would probably reraise the turn, and then hope that a 6, 8, or diamond doesn't come on the river, and I would be very happy if an Ace or 7 did appear.

Thanks for the comments, I reraised to put him all-in, the river was a blank and he showed 99 to drag the pot with a flopped set.
