Anyone ever play the 10-20-30 at the Trop. I played it for the first time this weekend, and did fine but thought of something while playing.

At the Taj they have limits much higher than 10-20-30 so the best players keep elevating upwards. At the Trop the highest limit going was 10-20-30 (pot limit only went for about an hour till it broke) so all the better players were playing that. So do you think that the highest game in general is going to be tougher compared to a 10-20 or 15-30 at a different casino where limits go much higher?

Yes.

But the Trop game can be very weak.

Note that this game rewards the live ones by giving them a chance to make more money when they suck out - a problem with the big river bet. It also means you should be calling the flop with more hands then in a 10-20 game.

For those not in the know the structure is 10-10-20-30 for the 4 rounds of betting.

When I sat down it was all tough players, I even told them I wouldnt start 3 handed, as I knew they had more money and more experience at short play, and they very well may have been better than me although I dont like admitting that. When we got 5 people we started, although not ideal, I was ok with it. It was very tough line-up at first but it did soften a bit later, plus I got better cards later on so that always helps. At one point early on I went 3-4 hours without winning a hand....that sucked /images/graemlins/tongue.gif
