I had AK /images/graemlins/diamond.gif in BB when a loose passive player in SB limps in and then calls my preflop raise. The flop comes A /images/graemlins/spade.gif,K /images/graemlins/club.gif,3 /images/graemlins/heart.gif.
He checks it to me and I raise. He calls. The turn comes 9d.
He checks and I raise. He calls. The river comes 7 /images/graemlins/spade.gif. He raises, I reraise and he calls. There was also a weak-loose player to my left calling all the way.

I turn over two pair A over K and the man on my left mucks in disgust. The loose passive to my right shows 99. giving him trips and me nothing but a bruised ego.
Should I have played this differently?

hi card
you need to enunciate your post a little. there are a couple of premature raises along the way. as for your aggressiveness; you played it well. no reason not to reraise. far more often than not, this hand will stand up. unfortunately, you ran into a set. you played well though.

I've seen it all when elysium is correcting the wording of other posts.
