This weekend started the Mid-America Classic. This is supposed to be the "little" tournament in Tunica. Just a small gathering---not like the WPO in January.
They got double the expected turnout. Big lines for events that sold out even after being expanded. Side games packed at Horseshoe and Gold Strike. Not enough tables and not enough dealers. Long (!) wait lists. Staff working hard to keep everyone happy at both properties.
Too many players with too much money. And some of these players were new (some, brand new) to the game.
Everybody loves Tunica!
