Hello---
First, sorry to bother everyone with something that really only affects a small number of us. But, it is important to me and others.
As most New England-area players already know (and if not, you can read the details in the News, Views, and Gossip forum), the Mohegan Sun casino intends to permanently close its poker room on Septemper 2, 2003. That's not new news.
What I have yet to see mentioned on here is that they have a petition that players can sign in an attempt to prevent this. It is located in the Gaming Commission Office, which is on the right before you reach the poker room (really only a couple of steps away from the poker room). All you need to do is sign it and put down your Wampum card number.
I encourage everyone who will be going there in the next month to do this as a last ditch effort to try to save the poker room. They haven't said that if they get X number of signatures that they won't close it or anything like that. As a matter of fact, it probably won't even help. But I think it's definitely worth a shot. Maybe if they see how many people care, then they'll change their minds. Who knows?
Thanks for reading...
