Make that 'tribute', small t. 'Local' "classic rock" station here[SLC] played a five song Who set, none've which had anything to do w/Ox; i.e. "Behind Blue Eyes", edited version of "Won't Get Fooled Again", etc..
Now, you can't expect 'em to play "Cousin Kevin" or "Uncle Ernie", and "My Wife" ain't that great a song, but what's wrong/w "Boris The Spider", and where the f*** was "My Generation" & the most famous bass riffs in rock history[along side Geezer's in "N.I.B.", o'course]?
Of course, it's all programmed out of a computer in Dallas, or somewhere, and most cities don't have any DJ's at all, but still.
My picks for an Ox Five-pack Tribute:
"Join Together"
"My Generation"
"Boris The Spider"
"Dr. Jimmy" [I believe this is the "John song" from Quadrophenia]
"Love Reign O'er Me"
BTW here's a reason books suck: I saw two new hardbacks at Border's, both claiming to feature "The Male Bridget Jones".
*sigh*
