Decided to get out of bed this morning and take advantage of small-town golf. Teed off at around 6:15 and played 17 holes by 8:30, walking of course. Would have played a bit faster but for some sprinkler dodging. I'm a slow player now I guess. I suppose if I gave up and got a cart I could have gotten in 18. Can't do it though. Skipped 17 because I had to get to the office and it is easy to cut from 16 to 18. I hate the 17th anyway and always bogey it. $375 plus $2 per day gets you all the golf you can stand in a year at our local dog track muni. Gotta love it when you beat the geezers out even though the sprinklers make everything a slog for the first 9 holes. And there's a bird on the 14th tee who hangs out and makes noise. Has his own territory staked out. Quiet please.
