Bankroll vs. Game Size

What is a general idea for the size of a long term game to play in vs. the size of your bankroll? In otherwords, how much room for rough streak should I leave in my bankroll? 100BB? more?

If you plan on playing 10-20 Hold em...have $6000 as a working bankroll.
