View Full Version : Flopped two pair

Normally I feel I have a problem extracting enough value from good (but vulnerable) hands. Here I am worried that I didn't do enough to protect the hand. How's my line?

Flop: Bet the pot. Even an overbet of the pot is ok here since your hand is so vulnerable and you have 3 opponents. When he min-raises you, just go all in. Min-reraising him back is terrible.

Turn: Push. The pot is big. Betting 200 commits you to the pot anyways. And you don't want him to call.

Dude, he wants to get his money in there. He came into the hand with 650 chips and mini-raised to 80 on the flop. Two draws out there, you've likely got the best (but very vulnerable) hand. I push to his mini re-raise on the flop. No need to get cute here.

Hm what do you put him on? If you're right that he is enticing me go allin, presumably he has a good hand now. So why doesn't he raise more to protect it? Perhaps I am giving him too much credit, but I don't think this adds up.

Don't you think he's just on a draw and is making a limit raise for the free card?

I agree that my bets on flop and turn should have been larger.

I guess I didn't phrase that exactly right. The point is that the pot is large, your hand is vulnerable but very likely the best at the moment. Push after his raise and either take the pot or get your money in while you still have the best hand.
