Just wow...

You do know there is someone with 970 chips right?

Seems fine.

It might be more interesting if the short stack had just folded for his last 25 chips or something though.

I hope you weren't thinking of folding.

Good thinking. You should probably fold everything but aces because someone has "just" 5 bbs and you're ITM.

Standard IMO.

Eggsactly, easy fold.

THere is a shorty there, why risk with AQ?

Bones was being sarcastic. I do not know whether or not you are.

There's a 10% jump between 3rd and 2nd, and a 20% chance jump between 2nd and 1st. If you ICM'ed this, I bet it would be an easy shove, because you're 3-handed, so Button raises a lot, plus you have AQ, which is AA-like here.

Autoshove.

Easy push...

I hope graydot was being sarcastic too....

i probably either call or push here, depending on my read of the raiser

It seems so, but they are wrong.

I've played against the raiser many times. He is one of the worst players on Party, a 90% VPIP'er that never folds. The OP would know this too so AQ is an easy push.

Allin, thank you.

I guess the most interesting part of this post is the part where the OP makes it seem like he's getting called for sure and taking a race/gamble for 3rd or 1st.

I'm pretty sure the guy will almost always fold. You're FE is QUITE high.

You should definitely move-in here. It's nothing like the KJo hand the other day because, well, AQs is like absolutely massive compared to KJo.

Oh by the way FE doesn't actually matter here, even if he folded the bottom 2/3rds he was raising with, you would still want his range to be no wider than top 21%, which is exactly the same as if he called every time you pushed! But that's more than wide enough ITM.

12-30-2005, 06:31 PM
Here is the outcome. At least the read was right.

badbadmonk calls [2830].
** Dealing Flop ** [ Td, 5h, 7s ]
** Dealing Turn ** [ Ks ]
** Dealing River ** [ 9c ]
badbadmonk shows [ As, Tc ] a pair of tens.
PazzMan shows [ Ac, Qc ] high card ace.
badbadmonk wins 6560 chips from the main pot with a pair of tens.
PazzMan finished in third place and won $40.
PazzMan has left the table.

I'm embarassed to admit that I thought this was close. But then I did the math and...wow. It's not remotely close. In fact it looks like pushing as low as A8o is reasonable.
