I'm in if it's $5, anything more would be like giving money away because I'm a horrible HU player.

Okay, how do we plan to organize this, though? (EDIT: Meaning it's pretty hard to coordinate that we'll actually be playing each other instead of random people, et cetera. Perhaps the 1-on-1 cash game tables? Downsides include rake and non-escalating blinds.) (EDIT 2: I'm interested if we can get this started in about the next 15 minutes.)

i have to duck out.....i only have 5.20 in my account. i was going to sit in a ring game to make the .05, but this (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=4303808&an=0&page=1#Post 4303808) is keeping me from doing so.

Maulik

this is going to be a short-handed tourney?

pergesu
12-30-2005, 03:39 AM
As far as I know, it's a HU tourney. So if we get like 10 people to sign up, there will be 5 HU matches. Winners then play each other until I emerge as the ultimate champion.

Mr_J
12-30-2005, 03:41 AM
Ok it's still being organized...

[/ QUOTE ]

If 10 people showed up, I think 6 would get a bye and there would be 2 first round games. With 5 players, I've seen it give three byes and one game. This is a relatively obnoxious feature, but probably somewhat unavoidable.

Also, people should note that this is PL, not NL.

bluefeet
12-30-2005, 03:45 AM
cuz OP sucks at multi-tasking...

The resssssssst of the story:

$10+1 (cheapest stars offers for private tourneys)
3:30 EST (because stars requires a 1hr min future time)
PLHE
HU Matches
Starting chips & blinds double with each new match
Assuming you get less than 33, it'll pay top 4

Too late for me, next time. Have fun!

Also, I'm sure somebody can spot you. Hell, I'll do it. What's your handle?

The point seems to be that no matter how many lots of 5 cents he has, he still can't play (unless we send him $200.05)

The play where I beat you (The AQ that I showed) was only possible because you made a move that I expected because I would have done the same thing.

If you had no idea what you were doing, I wouldn't have been able to pick that one off.

Not a bad beat post as we discussed the reasons over the tables. People might find this interesting.

I had limp/folded my button the last two rounds.

Nah dawg, you missed my declaration that I'm the best 22er in the world (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showthreaded.php?Cat=0&Number=4237963&page=0&vc=1) .

I had lost 3 $5.50 HU matches in a row today. I was up against lorinda, who's shown in his posts that he has a deeper understanding of pokwer than me. In this particular situation, I badly needed confidence. Poker is situational, ya know /images/graemlins/wink.gif
