Bet more on the river, besides that looks fine.

Bet a lot more on river. People don't like folding top pair in spots like that. Missing a lot of value I think.

I think you need to be pretty sure you are getting paid off if a flush hits to take your line. 180 feels about the right amount to get the call you want. Many players will curse and call that with JT or better.

The other option that jumps out at me is a CR on the turn. The added benefit being that if he does call you have a few more "outs" to bluff the river with. If he just calls the C/R, you can feel pretty confident that he doesnt have a great hand, b/c most players will take the chance to push in there. So, any Q,K,A that misses him, will most likely get a fold. Although that line is dicey with these stacks, it is hot or miss wether a player will fold with 1/2 his stack in the middle regardless. But I do want to start building some fold equity into our line. Also, it garuntees we at least get paid some on our flush, and probably stack him if a 4,5,6 fall on the river.

Interesting spot though. Much easier to manipulate if we both have 1500 behind.

I think I'd play it the same way. On the surface, the turn call is marginal but as long as you can extract a little on the river you've got the implied odds. And I disagree with the others. While you can bet a little more I think a large bet won't get called by top pair there. I think you bet about the max to be called.

I don't know about this. Our line really looks like a made flush. Maybe he calls 250, but he has enough chips that we still see a lot of folds here, IMO.

**This may be why I am about 20% as succesful in party MTTs as I am on UB or full-tilt, though.

I don't think turn call is marginal at all. He has 9-14 outs, and probably 14.

Well, I said "on the surface". 14 outs means he's about a 2.3 to 1 dog and he's getting 2.1 to 1 odds. That's marginal. But factor in a small river bet and the implied odds make it +EV.

i would bet more on the river if my hand wasn't so obviously a flush draw. that's one thing i don't like about my line - that i can't get paid off on a big bet on the end.

i don't really like a turn c/r because it risks a reraise, which i'd hate to see.

i'm more curious about a reraise on the flop. if i get reraised there i can jam and rarely be facing a better hand than one pair if i get called (only 33 is really likely).

also, i thought it was a no-brainer to bet the river. does anyone disagree?

You need to know your opponent pretty well to be able to go for a river check raise.

If it was against me you should check, cause I'd value bet a strong top pair here. I however, am a loose value bettor.
