bison, welcome back. What the hell have you been up to?

You disappear for months on end, then show up and make like 34 posts in one day?

Whatever, welcome back!

Work. Drinking. Smoking pot. No online poker since June. No poker at all since whenever the Vegas trip was.

Now? Work. Drinking. Smoking pot. Poker.

I think Eurotrash drew it back in the legendary MSPaint thread. I GIS'd bisonbison and it came up.

it's a great formula -

had to quit drinking - but I've tried to add a couple more destructive vices in there - like a 55 inch TV -

it's a good life, man /images/graemlins/grin.gif

PJN,

I missed you too. Of course it's fine to laugh at me high. I'd never smoked more than twice in a month until this fall, and now? Let's just say I'm doing some stuff I missed out on in my early to mid-20s.

I've been getting the urge to start up again with so much free time over the winter break, but I'm not sure I could handle it again. That, and the apartment is much more peaceful when I'm not throwing things.

Basically, my whole goal playing poker now is to maintain an even emotional reaction to any results.

If I play enough hands, I will win. I know this. So now any moving up will involve a 500BB bankroll and a promise to look at my own results as little as possible during and after sessions.

Heh, this is way too much poker content for OOT, but I didn't have enough self control for that to work for me so I pretty much stopped playing and have been happier for it.

I'm just saying that most of their first two records own that song.

Plus I'm right about Hedberg dammit. Steven Wright is the king of the one liner.

I've loved each and every one of Hedberg's jokes that were posted in here. He's a great writer. But evertime I've seen him preform (on TV) he's bothered me because while very good, it's hard to argue that he's not derritvative of Wright. (or perhaps they'll all derritative of somebody better, I could be wrong).

Yes, I am exactly this defensive. That and I'm on vacation at my folk's place, I've already played my 6 hands for the day, and boredom is starting to sink in

One-line comics that are actually good are like good knuckleball pitchers. You appreciate when they come along, and you don't worry so much about Wilhelm v. Neikro.
