Can I set my 2001fp as my default monitor?

I currently have it as an extension on my laptop. When I try to set it up as the default monitor, the maximum resolution I can set, it's the maximum resolution allowed for the laptop monitor. Is there any way to get around this?

ack! It's possible that your video card won't support a higher resolution. Make/model?

Found it. It was somewhere well hidden in my graphics card options. It's an Intel graphics card about 3 years old now. Thankfuly it supports it.
