We all knew the guy was basically an idiot. But check this out. web page (http://www.reviewjournal.com/lvrj_home/2003/Jul-29-Tue-2003/business/21825198.html)

Now, I sympathize with him to some degree in that casino customers should enjoy a certain level of privacy protection by the casino. But there isn't exactly a pit boss/gambler privilege. I think it is in bad form to publicize people's gambling results, and would fire any employeee who publicized that kind of stuff if I ran a casino. (Yes, Razzo has crossed the line on RGP, and I think Linda G has too.) Nevertheless, gambling by law has to be PUBLIC in Nevada. (some recent exceptions) The currency reporting requirements brought to us in part by the war on drugs idiots (who might they be?) also make financial goings on less private. And hasn't Bennet railed against privacy rights in Roe v. Wade? This guy is a joke.

.....the same liberal rags that "outed" Bennett's gambling in LV and AC are staffed by some of the world's biggest hypocrites - people who gamble on the lottery and office NCAA/Super Bowl pools, people who bet with bookies, etc. That said, in a world where terror/drug/organized crime are being battled by the 'Follow-the-Money-Trail" mantra - Patriot Act being the latest, anyone who wagers large sums of money legally in casinos has to be extremely naive to think it will be kept confidential.

Just an aside, when Congress finally gets around to closing down internet and off-shore gambing, how people who frequent these pages would be pissed to see their names bandied about?

Bennet touts himself as a man who is disgusted by the immorality of American society. Thus people care about whether he gambles and for how much. When a professed pargaon of morality gambles for millions of dollars, that's news. When a reporter plays the office lottery, it's not. Bennet is a public figure; his name is always being bandied about.

Bennett is a schmuck who rode the standard superpatriotic scumbag trail like a lot of his predecessors. Did I need the outing about his gambling to see that he is a phoney? No, I did not. Did anyone? Well that "anyone" is onnathose who wannna see the Ace-crap hand the scmuck is holding when he raises your pocket Kings on the Ace-something flop. Otherwise "he don'na believe".

Gambling in a casino, or anywhere else, is my business. I don't want the state or anybody else creeping his nose in to what I do there with my money and my time. This is as simple as that. All I have to do is comply to tax laws and casino regulations as they apply wherever I play.

All (self-described or real) advantage players should be siding with the scumbag on that 'un. Get'em, Bennett! (barf!)..
