6% VPIP, something doesn't seem right, does this bot play 2-4 limit and only play AA KK and QQ?

isn't a standard deviation of 30BB a little high for a VPIP 6 player?

Your friend is a douchebag. The reason I never tried to build a poker bot is because I don't want to be the guy who ruins online poker. Make a few thousand is not worth it by any means.
Plus that site makes no sense, the stats seem rigged, and no one is gonna buy this crap.

if you can create a poker bot, "making a few thousand" won't just be a few thousand.
Not saying your all talk and no action... but why would someone capable of creating a bot that can "ruin online poker" not create one?!
You must hate money. Its a dog eat dog world...

6% VPIP does seem pretty low. I know his bot doesnt play only hands like that, I remember discussing strategy with him fairly often.

I'm not sure. I never paid attention to my std. deviation stats when I played and used PT. I can't look at it now, because I'm not where my main desktop is. What's the usual range for std. deviation at low limits?

If every player online was a bot, only the house would make money.

Hah! I'd love to sit at a table full of 6% VPIP bots.

Money also isn't the end all thing for me. Kinda like the guy who invented the atom bomb. Should we have? Should a lot of things been invented? I just feel strongly against making a poker bot.
I heard the Sites now scan your Regustry looking for Bot software. How will your friend work around this?

theres ways to get around everything in the computer world...if you know what you are doing...
I wouldn't doubt that there are already very good poker bots out their today.
Take someone with $100,000 and good poker sense and a stellar computer programmer...and you can potentially make millions.
However, the human mind can outsmart a bot in poker...typically. Versus things like chess and backgammon that when this is done do this and it is always correct.

poker is a game of incomplete information, i don't see a bot beating a good human at no limit hold'em any time soon..
