Hand 2 for me at this table.

Party Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (10 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx (http://www.zerodivide.cx/converter)

Preflop: Hero is BB with A/images/graemlins/spade.gif, 6/images/graemlins/diamond.gif.
UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, 6 folds, SB completes, Hero checks.

Flop: (4 SB) A/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 9/images/graemlins/spade.gif, J/images/graemlins/heart.gif (4 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, UTG folds, UTG+1 calls, SB folds.

Turn: (3 BB) 8/images/graemlins/club.gif (2 players)
Hero bets, UTG+1 calls.

River: (5 BB) J/images/graemlins/spade.gif (2 players)
Hero bets, UTG+1 raises, Hero folds.

Final Pot: 8 BB

Totally standard right?

I check-call the river. Costs the same and I get to learn what he had, and I never fold the better hand if he's betting the scare card.

I just don't see a "value bet" on the end there. Check/call.

You are correct to fold on the river.
