Somebody just rang my doorbell....

Someone just rang the bell for the top floor of my house. When I went to the window and put my head out an SUV double-parked outside sped away, and there was no one else there. I went downstairs to see if anything had been left on the stoop or in the mail slot, and I saw a similar looking SUV park just around corner downt the block and it's idleing with its lights off.

1. Am I about to get killed?
2. Should I aproach the car?

I thought of this, but it is a three family home with 4 doorbells, and they only rang one. Wouldn't they ring them all if this was the case?

The engine of the car is now off, but with the streetlight glare I can't tell if anyone's inside.

It's possible that it's just a different SUV, but they are beige, which is a less common color.

If you stop posting, should we fear that you are dead? Try and get the license number of whatever SUV's are hanging around. Either way, if you are real concerned about your safety and the safety of others in your neighborhood, just call 911.

I'm totally freaked out. I have a hunting knife and a maglight on the desk with me.

I suggest a 12 gauge over a hunting knife.

My personal preference

If you fear they may try to kidnap you, get naked and oil yourself up.

When the SUV pulled away was it replaced by any other unknown vehicles that can watch your home? They may have another team on duty.
