Here is the tourny layout.

Two tables, about 15 people.
Everyone starts with 1500 in chips.
Blinds start at 25-50 and DOUBLE ever FIFTEEN minutes.

It's a pretty ridiculous setup. After just a few blind levels, even the big stacks have small chip counts in comparison to the blinds.

The level of competition is some of the worst you'll find around. Extremely loose with all pre flop raises and call, and then a continuation of the poor loose play after the flop with many unecessary calls.

Is there anyway to turn this type of poker game into a profitable one by playing it correctly? I'm assuming the game is so too fast paced and high blinds too fast that there really is no way to play it and do well consistently without getting lucky, but I thought it was worth a try. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

Sure.

Tell them that next time, instead of playing poker, you'll deal them blackjack.

Yeah, it does'nt seem like there could be a possible way to consistently win at a game like this, but what would be the best way to give yourself the greatest edge possible?

I agree with REL. I'd think your best shot would be to play tight as a drum, but play your premium hands hard and fast. A friend of mine always insist on the same starting chips and blind structure. I agree it's rather annoying.
