It's been my practice to make this call, see a flop and play some poker, but would anybody make the case for a fold?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t20 (9 handed) internettexasholdem.com (http://www.internettexasholdem.com)

Hero (t1500)
UTG+1 (t1270)
MP1 (t1405)
MP2 (t1470)
MP3 (t1440)
CO (t1600)
Button (t1500)
SB (t2045)
BB (t1270)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with K/images/graemlins/club.gif, A/images/graemlins/club.gif.
<font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to t60</font>, <font color="#666666">6 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">SB raises to t150</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, Hero ???

i have to see a flop with this. you only need 90 more chips to call with a premium hand.

that's generally been my thoughts, but i'm trying to think more about the range of hands for SB to make that raise... knowing he'll be OOP for the whole hand and that i made a 3xBB from UTG. i definitely don't make that raise from SB without QQ-AA, but then again i'm way tight at level one.

For a typical $22 Stars player, the range of hands that raise here is larger than you think. Many of these players are not thinking about the fact that you popped it from UTG, and that they will be playing from OOP the entire hand.

Instead, they're thinking "wow, i got a A,J."

I would probably call and see a flop since you're deep stacked and have position.
