upgrading to WUXGA??

i just got a dell laptop for xmas, i'm wondering if it is possible to upgrade the screen to WUXGA so i can multi-table w/ no overlap?

Ask dell.

Normally not...although you should be able to return it since you just received it as a gift. Maybe you'll have to pay a restocking fee but definitely give them a call.
