My wife and I are looking for a game to practice heads up play vs each other. Anyone know if any DS/GBA/PSP Poker games allow only 2 players to play heads up, tourney mode or cash game. They all state 1-8 players on the box but I cannot find a review or a post anywhere about how good/bad they are.

Any info on the games would be greatly appreciated.

Why not just use real cards and play? It will definitely take the "this game is rigged" mentality away from it.

we do that already. We have been playing wireless DS games lately while we are in different parts of the house, we figured we liked poker so much we would rather do that than play another game of battleship or boggle

What is DS?

I'm trying to get my g/f into poker. I don't think it'll happen though.

World Championship Poker is a pretty good DS Poker game.

But with the amazing line up of games the DS has I'd never waste my time playing poker games on it when I could be playing Advance Wars, Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, Kirby, Meteos, etc.

WSOP for the PSP is pretty good. Nice clean display, graphics are good enough. Not sure about the AI yet- but won't matter too much if you're playing other humans.

It doesn't get very good reviews generally, but I'm not sure why.

Better than World Championship Poker (DS) which I had for a while before selling DS to get PSP.

Regards,
Ian

PS: You may be interested in "Stacked" when it comes out for the PSP. It is claimed that it will have the best AI for a console game (possibly using the POKI AI system)
