The Supreme Court, in a 5-4 decision, has approved school vouchers. Now, watch those inner city kids descend upon Choate, Exeter, and Philips Andover, and sit back and await the ensuing havoc. Oh, wait a minute. You say I can only get $1,500.00, and Choate wants thirty grand. Guess it's back to the public school system.

The vote was 4-4: Thomas blindly follows Scalia no matter what.

"I pledge allegiance to" ..... One Nation Under God... Haven't you been listening to all the pious politicians?

I am not disturbed by politicians admitting that they can't run an effective public school system. I am disturbed that the came up with this plan instead of resigning en mass, and letting others try.

Actually 1500k will probably pay a decent portion of tuition at a catholic school. I think this was a great decision by the supreme court.

I have never undestood the intense resistance to school vouchers. maybe you could explain.
